A test drive took a terrifying turn for a car salesman here after he was beaten up and thrown into the trunk of the vehicle.
Police are searching for the suspect who posed as a customer Monday at the Gillman Dodge dealership in the southwest part of the city.
The car salesman is safe after escaping from the car’s trunk while the vehicle was moving.
Police said the incident started after the test drive when the suspect and salesman got into a fight. The suspect then threw the salesman into the trunk.
While the car was moving, police said, the salesman pulled the emergency trigger while he was locked in the trunk and managed to open the trunk and roll out of the car.
