A Dallas mother has been charged with attempted capital murder after she allegedly forced her 4-year-old son to eat ant poison, PEOPLE confirms.
Paw Eh, 31, was taken into custody on Saturday after a witness called police to report the incident, an arrest warrant affidavit obtained by The Dallas Morning News shows.
Eh allegedly also tried to poison her 7-year-old son and 12-year-old daughter, but was unsuccessful, Dallas police tell PEOPLE.
According to the affidavit, Eh mixed the deadly powder with water and made her 4-year-old son drink it. When he wouldn’t open his mouth, she allegedly slapped him. The boy started to cry, and she forced the spoon in his mouth and made him swallow.
Eh then allegedly turned her attention to her 12-year-old and her 7-year-old. But the older children escaped and ran to their grandmother’s apartment to report what their mother was trying to do. A witness then called 911.
