Dr. Grey will see Denzel Washington now.

The Oscar-winning movie star has signed on to direct an episode of Grey’s Anatomy during Season 12, according to TV Line and Variety.

Washington will helm this season’s ninth episode, reports TV Line, scheduled to start shooting later this month.

The outlook? Pretty good: Washington’s well versed in directing, having previously helmed 2002’sย Antwone Fisher and 2007’s The Great Debaters.

And he’s no stranger to Shondaland, having stopped by How to Get Away with Murder’s table read last year.

He’s got more big plans for TV. Washington recently announced he will produce 10 of Pulitzer prize-winning playwright August Wilson’s works in a deal with HBO.

“I’m directing and producing and acting in one (Fences) and I’m executive producing the other nine,” Washington shared at an event in September, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
