ATLANTA, GA, (September 18, 2015) – Ordained Baptist minister and trained sociologist, Dr. Bobby E. Mills, scripturally and practically aims to bridge the gap between what God wants for this America and what this country seems to want for herself. In a new book of essays, Socio-Religious Essays On American Society, Dr. Mills tackles serious issues that are facing the family, the church, and educational institutions. Blending precepts of theology and concepts from sociology, he attempts to offer solutions to the pressing problems of this day and age, exemplify wisdom and good counsel, and turn America back to morality and a God-shaped view of life.Dr. Mills asks the questions: “Has American society torn down the moral walls? And, more importantly, once a society pulls down the moral walls can they be rebuilt? Or are children (the future) simply condemned to fall through the immorality gulf into the spiritual abyss of sin?”

Leaving no stone unturned, from the pages of Socio-Religious Essays On American Society, Christian citizens of America, church leaders, and pastors will be challenged to wake up, view the problems facing this country from a biblical perspective, and work together to turn the nation right side up again. Dr. Mills addresses such topics as: Christian responsibility, church worship, diversity in the church, family life, education, law and order, as well as politics. Readers will be engaged, changed, and urged to stand up and fill the gaps that exist to make America a better place.

Bobby E. Mills received his BD degree in theology from Colgate-Rochester Crozer Divinity School and his PhD degree in sociology from Syracuse University. He is an advocate for pastoral leaders allowing church houses to function as the church of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Church houses ought to be houses of prayer and spiritual enlightenment. “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin” (1 John 1:7).
