In 2013, Bryan Chan and a group of fellow university students in Arizona launched a weather balloon near the Grand Canyon.
In a Reddit post, Chan explains their onboard GPS tracker lost its signal as it came in to land. It took two years for the team to recover the footage, after a woman spotted the balloon and its payload while out on a hike in the desert
