As police continue to investigate Bobbi Kristina Brown’s death, shocking new revelations about her past may be shedding new light on the case. Bobbi reportedly partied hard and passed out in a bathtub the night before Whitney Houston died — just like she did in Jan. 2015, seven months before her death.

Bobbi Kristina Brown was placed in a medically-induced coma after she was found unconscious in her bathtub on Jan .31, but that wasn’t the first time she fell asleep in a tub. Just one day before her mom, Whitney Houston, passed away, Bobbi allegedly had a similar experience after a wild night of partying, according to a new report.

Bobbi reportedly got drunk with her mom at the Beverly Hilton bar in Feb. 2012, then fell asleep in her hotel room’s bathtub with the water running, according to TMZ. One day later, Whitney was discovered dead in her room’s bathtub, and Bobbi was rushed to the hospital. At the time, the iconic singer’s rep claimed Bobbi’s hospitalization was for exhaustion, but now, TMZ reports it was actually for alcohol poisoning.

This information has become relevant now that Bobbi has sadly passed. Police are reportedly investigating her case as a homicide, with her  boyfriend, Nick Gordon, 19, as a person of interest — but his lawyers may be able to use this previous incident to help Nick’s case.

The site’s sources says that Nick’s attorney is aware of Bobbi’s terrifying past, and will try and use it to convince the court that, once again, Bobbi let her partying get out of control, causing her to pass out in the tub. And considering the initial autopsy report did not show an “underlying cause of death” and “no significant injuries were noted,” things are looking pretty good for Nick.
