Artists are just like ordinary people when they’re out of the spotlight. Despite having a tedious workload consisting of tours, studio sessions and a plethora of interviews, all they want to do is turn up on occasion, especially for their birthdays. Well, it appears that Jeremih got a little too turnt up during his birthday celebration because the singer enjoyed much of it inside the slammer.
According to TMZ, “The Birthday Song” crooner was arrested Friday (July 17) — his actual birthday — after being pulled over by California Highway Patrol at approximately 2:15 a.m. Cops took him in and booked the singer for misdemeanor DUI — he was likely drunk. Despite turning 28 last week, Jeremih had to enjoy the rest of his birthday festivities inside a jail cell. His bail was set at $15,000 and he was released several hours later.
If you recall late last year, Jeremih caused some ruckus at a Fuddruckers in Billings, Mont., with his entourage. The “Don’t Tell Em” singer was accused of harassing the staff because he deemed the restaurant management as racists. He destroyed a fryer in the process likely as a result of him and his crew throwing items at the employees. The group left the restaurant and drove away after the altercation. No arrests were made.
