LISTEN: Israel in the End Times: The Fulfillment of God’s Covenants With Israel, Part 3 (Second Coming Chapel with Daniel Whyte III)

Again, I raise the question: “The President may be smart, but is he wise?” in light of the deal he made with Iran and regarding promoting and supporting homosexual marriage.

TEXT: Revelation 20:1-6

1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Israel in the End Times: The Fulfillment of God’s Covenants With Israel (Part 3)

Again, I raise the question: “The President may be smart, but is he wise?” in light of the deal he made with Iran and regarding promoting and supporting homosexual marriage.

In light of what we have been talking about regarding Israel and the end times, allow me to start out by saying that the deal that President Obama recently made with Iran is foolish and jeopardizes the safety of God’s chosen people, Israel, who have been a blessing to America and to the world. Please remember that our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ came through the Jewish people, and, in fact, believe it or not, He was literally a Jewish Rabbi while on earth. When one listens to the President, it sounds as though the deal makes sense on the surface; but, underneath, it is nothing but foolishness. The President is making a deal with a people who have just stated that their position toward America and certainly Israel has not changed because of this deal.

By the grace of God, I have been humbly and kindly warning America for the past seven years that our President is smart, but he is not wise. Even though the President is not the only one guilty for the state of affairs (the truth is, there are millions of others in this country, including elected officials, the Supreme Court, phony Christians, and sincere Christians, who are guilty as well) but, as the top elected leader in this formerly great country called America, President Obama bears most of the responsibility for securing the judgment of God on America by making this deal with Iran and by supporting and promoting homosexual marriage. And the judgment has already begun. As God said to Abraham, the father of the Jews, “I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” Please remember beloved, America is not mentioned in biblical prophecy. Do not be surprised if you wake up one day and find that half of America has been destroyed. My advice is to prepare for it.

No politician on the Republican side can stop the destruction of America. At this point, it doesn’t matter who is elected president. The election will not change anything. President Obama did what half of the country wanted him to do. And no one — Republican or Democrat — will have the will, courage, and character to change what needs to be changed. Do not be deceived by people who say this is a time of “peace and safety.” I assure you, it is not. As the Bible says, “For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.”

We do not live in a perfect world. When God created this world, He looked down on it and called it “good.” However, before the Flood — which scholars tell us happened about sixteen hundred years after Creation, God looked down and saw that the earth was “filled with violence” and He decided to destroy it and start all over with just Noah’s family. I do not presume to know the mind of God, but I believe that we are nearing a point where God will look down on us and decide that punishment in the form of some great, worldwide disaster — similar to the events described in Revelation — is necessary once again.

As we look around at this world — a world in which four Marines were shot to death as they went about their duties at a Naval training facility in Tennessee this week, a world in which ISIS continues to spread death and destruction throughout the Middle East — it ought to make us eager to see the return of the King, Jesus Christ. In our message last week, we talked about this King who would be the fulfillment of God’s promise to David that one of his descendants would sit on the throne of Israel forever. We saw that the only descendant who qualifies for such a role is Jesus Christ, the Son of God and the Savior of the world.

Just as we learned about the King last week, today, we are going to learn about the Kingdom, commonly called the Millennial Kingdom, which will transform this world full of violence and sin into a utopia. Three events must take place before the Millennial Kingdom can come into effect, two of which we are already familiar with: (1) the Rapture of the church, and (2) the return of Jesus Christ who will defeat the antichrist.

Our passage describes the third thing that must happen — the removal of Satan. John tells us that, in his vision, an angel “laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled.” God will put Satan in prison for a thousand years. With Satan gone, he will no longer be able to tempt God’s people, hinder God’s plans, or influence sinners. Imagine a world where the devil cannot drive people to murder, lust, steal, lie, cheat on their spouse, get drunk, do drugs, go to war, and a host of other evil things. That’s the kind of world that will exist when Jesus Christ sits on the throne of David in Jerusalem.

Jesus Christ will be ruling and reigning on the throne of David. His inauguration will usher in a time of peace and prosperity that the world has never seen. Finally, justice and righteousness will be the norm rather than the exception. Most human rulers are driven by a desire for power, prominence, wealth, or self-glory. However, Jesus Christ will reign in perfect holiness. Revelation 19:15 tells us that He will rule the nations with “a rod of iron.”

During the Millennial Kingdom, there will be world peace like there has never been before. Isaiah 2:4 tells us, “They shall beat their swords into plowshares, And their spears into pruning hooks: Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, Neither shall they learn war any more.” This peace will so permeate not only human society, but also the realm of nature, that Isaiah goes on to describe it as follows: “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, And the leopard shall lie down with the kid; And the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little child shall lead them… And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp [a serpent], And the weaned child shall put his hand on the den of the cockatrice [another type of serpent]. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, As the waters cover the sea.”

Now, Jesus Christ will not be reigning alone during this time. John writes, “I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years… they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.”

A few weeks ago, we learned about the 144,000 Jewish witnesses who would preach the Gospel to the world during the Tribulation period. Many of these witnesses would be killed for their testimony before the end of the Tribulation. However, when Jesus Christ rules the world from Jerusalem, these witnesses and many of those who were killed for believing and following Christ during the Tribulation will be resurrected and will be given roles in Jesus’ kingdom. Jesus Christ also promised His disciples that they would sit on thrones in his Kingdom and judge the 12 tribes of Israel. So, we see that Jesus will delegate some responsibilities to His followers during His reign.

But Tribulation-age saints are not the only ones who will be resurrected to take part in the Millennial Kingdom. Dr. John Walvoord writes: “[There is] the Rapture of the church, which will include the resurrection of dead church saints and the translation of living church saints. The resurrection of the two witnesses will occur in the Great Tribulation. Then the resurrection of the martyred dead of the Great Tribulation will occur soon after Christ returns to earth. To these may be added the resurrection of Old Testament saints which apparently will also occur at this time, though it is not mentioned in this text.” Basically, three classes of believers will be raised to take part in the Millennial Kingdom: (1) the Old Testament saints, (2) the Church-age saints, (3) the Tribulation-age saints. The only group of people who will not be resurrected are all those who did not place their faith in Jesus Christ. They will not be raised until the end of the Millennial Kingdom where they will face the Great White Throne Judgment.

When God made His covenants with David and with the children of Israel, they could not see how those covenants would come to pass. Israel was just a tiny nation surrounded by hostile enemies. But those Old Testament saints had faith in God. They trusted God and strived to obey Him. When they are resurrected to take part in the Millennial Kingdom, their faith will be richly rewarded as they enjoy the fulfillment of God’s promises to Israel.

As Christians today, we aim to demonstrate Christ’s kingdom on earth to the world around us. While we cannot stem the tide of violence, sin, hatred, and war, what we can do is snatch people out of its path by sharing the Gospel message with them. When a sinner believes the Gospel and places their faith and trust in Jesus Christ, they automatically become a part of the kingdom of Christ and they will be resurrected to take part in that kingdom when Christ returns to reign on earth. It ought to be our desire to see as many people as possible enter into the Kingdom because of our witness in this day and time.

If you are with us today, and you do not know the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, allow me to share with you how you can trust Him for salvation so that you can be ready for His return.

First, accept the fact that you are a sinner, and that you have broken God’s law. The Bible says in Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

Second, accept the fact that there is a penalty for sin. The Bible states in Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death…”

Third, accept the fact that you are on the road to hell. Jesus Christ said in Matthew 10:28: “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Also, the Bible states in Revelation 21:8: “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

Now that is bad news, but here’s the good news. Jesus Christ said in John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Just believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead by the power of God for you so that you can live eternally with Him. Pray and ask Him to come into your heart today, and He will.

Romans 10:9 & 13 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved… For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

If you believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead, and you want to trust Him for your salvation today, please pray with me this simple prayer: Holy Father God, I realize that I am a sinner and that I have done some bad things in my life. I am sorry for my sins, and today I choose to turn from my sins. For Jesus Christ sake, please forgive me of my sins. I believe with all of my heart that Jesus Christ died for me, was buried, and rose again. I trust Jesus Christ as my Savior and I choose to follow Him as Lord from this day forward. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and save my soul and change my life today. Amen.

If you just trusted Jesus Christ as your Saviour, and you prayed that prayer and meant it from your heart, I declare to you that based upon the Word of God, you are now saved from Hell and you are on your way to Heaven. Welcome to the family of God! Congratulations on doing the most important thing in life and that is receiving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. God loves you. We love you. And may God bless you.
