Dwayne Johnson totally rocks.

The San Andreas star, also known as “The Rock,” announced his latest project at Saturday night’s Spike TV Guy’s Choice Awards – a grand scale, celebrity-studded variety show called Rock the Troops that will entertain and support U.S. troops stationed overseas.

“It is so important to me to give back to the troops. I really want to create something special for our boys and girls who are overseas and hopefully we do such a good job that we can do it again and again,” Johnson told EW backstage at the taped awards show. “I have military in my family, some vets and two Navy SEALs. That was the genesis of that.”

While no participants have been formally announced – and the overseas location hasn’t been determined – the show will feature headliners from “the world of music, movies, comedy, sports and more,” per a release from Johnson’s production company, Seven Bucks Productions.

“The idea was to create a show that was epic and big and that would entertain and honor our troops,” Johnson said, citing the USO shows that Bob Hope made famous as an inspiration. “I loved the idea and I am very serious about calling in favors and giving it a good deal of my energy and time. It is incredibly ambitious but we have a lot of resources to meet the ambition.”
