Storms ripped through Texas on Monday and caused major flooding in Houston, even trapping Rockets fans in the arena after Game 4 of the NBA Playoffs. On Tuesday, Colin Kaepernick posted a photo referencing the storms, but it was not in good taste.
The 49ers quarterback captioned a picture of Houston’s flooded streets saying, “I warned you the #7tormscoming !!! #Houston.”
Kaepernick used the #7tormscoming hashtag before, referencing his playing number. But using it in the aftermath of a serious event like the flood was obviously a mistake and he almost immediately removed it from Instagram.
