Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals came down to the wire. The Golden State Warriors escaped with a 99-98 victory but the result could have been much different had James Harden been able to get a shot off on the game’s final possession.
After the Rockets grabbed a rebound, Harden streaked down the court looking to score. But he was cut off by Klay Thompson, so Harden passed the ball to Dwight Howard, who immediately gave it back. Looking to attack right away, Harden tried to dribble toward the basket but he was met by Thompson and Stephen Curry. They knocked the ball away as Harden fell to the court trying to recover the loose ball.
But in that flurry of activity, the final buzzer sounded and the Warriors came away with a one-point victory.
