Emma Sulkowicz walked across the stage at Columbia College Class Day to cheers, carrying her rape protest mattress, according to the school’s newspaper.

The video was posted to YouTube on May 19.

For her senior thesis, the Columbia University art student said she would carry around the dorm-sized mattress for as long as she and her alleged rapist attend the same school.

“For me, I was raped in my own dorm bed and since then it’s become fraught and I feel like I’ve carried the weight with me everywhere since then,” Sulkowicz, explained in a video by the Columbia Spectator in September.

Last month, the Columbia student who was accused of rape sued the NYC school. Paul Nungesser was cleared of charges in Sulkowicz’s rape claim, according to the lawsuit, CNN reports.
