Floyd Mayweather basked in his victory over Manny Pacquiao on Saturday night, but his happiness had an edge to it.
Mayweather repeatedly took media members to task during his post-fight press conference, scolding them for writing negative stories about him and challenging them to clean it up. He even promised to get up early Sunday to read their stories.
At one point, Mayweather was asked if Pacquiao had followed through on his intention of inviting his opponent to Bible study, and whether the champ would take him up on it.
“A lot of people tried to turn this fight into good vs. evil, and I didn’t really wanna entertain that,” Mayweather said. He went on to point out that Pacquiao has flaws, too, saying “nobody’s perfect.”
At another point, Mayweather was asked if his criminal past would mar his boxing career.
“Only God can judge me,” he replied.
