
A TCU student faces charges of intoxication manslaughter after the vehicle he was driving hit another vehicle over the weekend and killed a 46-year-old Fort Worth woman, police said Monday.
A second TCU student, who was riding in the same vehicle, faces a charge of public intoxication.
Police identified the driver as Jonathan Lucas Reed, 22, of Houston, who was arrested Saturday night and was later released after posting bail. His passenger, John Morgan, 23, also was taken into custody and released during the weekend after posting bail.
The victim was identified as Elena DeFlores of Fort Worth. She died at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth on Saturday night shortly after the wreck, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.
The crash was reported just after 9:30 p.m. Saturday in the 3300 block of Granbury Road, a few blocks south of the TCU campus.
