The Bible says in Colossians 3:4: “When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.”
PROPHECY BOOTCAMP: Our topic for today is titled “Worthy is the Lamb!” (Part 6) from Dr. Ed Hindson’s book “Revelation: Unlocking the Future”.
The worthiness of Christ is extolled because He alone is authorized to execute the judgments that will conclude the present age and usher in the kingdom of God on earth. The timing of these events is not clearly stated but must be understood as part of that which John was told in 4:1 were “what must take place after these things.”
We can only assume that this great enthronement ceremony takes place in heaven after the Rapture of the Church and before the judgments of the Tribulation. The elders who are expressing these words of praise are representative of the whole Church because they are described as having been redeemed “from every tribe and tongue and people and nation.” Such a host cannot be limited to the Old Testament saints alone, although it may include them. What is clear is that this host must include the New Testament church, and that they are already in heaven prior to the judgments that are about to fall on the earth.
