21 Injured After Metro Rail Train Derails, Collides With Car in Los Angeles

At least 21 people were injured today after a Metro rail train collided with a car in downtown Los Angeles, next to the University of Southern California campus, officials said.

Two of the train cars derailed, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

The driver of the car was in grave condition and the train operator was in serious/critical condition, the LAFD reported. Eight others were hospitalized with minor injuries.
