On Wednesday, Bengals defensive tackle Devon Still posted some wonderful news on Instagram about his 4-year-old daughter, Leah: that her cancer is in remission.
In an interview with ESPN‘s “NFL Live,” Still described his immediate reaction when he heard the news from Leah’s doctors:
“I really just froze in the car when I heard the doctor say that. It really didn’t hit me at first. Because like I said, I have been waiting so long for that feeling … I just sat there stunned, and once I really realized what the doctor said, I just started crying. And I looked at my daughter and she actually said, ‘Did I beat up cancer?’ And I told her, ‘Yeah.’ And we just started hugging.”
