A tornado ripped through portions of Pawnee, Creek and Tulsa Counties in Oklahoma on Wednesday evening, and we are learning at least one person has died and three people have been transported to hospitals.
A mobile home park, near 145th West Avenue and Highway 51, was destroyed. Officials said 50 mobile homes have various levels of damage, but the storm took out nearly the whole park.
Authorities confirmed the fatality to News On 6 around 7:30 p.m. Two of the three people transported are in critical condition, EMSA said.
Sand Springs and Sapulpa fire departments are on scene still performing rescue operations.
A gas leak also has crews out doing emergency repairs.
