A murder suspect is on the loose in West Virginia after breaking free from a psychiatric hospital one month after found incompetent to stand trial, state police said.
Rocco Jesse Zuccaro, 30, who is charged with the February 2013 murder of Jason Lee Pratz, escaped from Weston’s William R. Sharpe, Jr. Hospital on Monday.
Zuccaro was being transported to a medical facility to be “restored to competence” after found incompetent to stand trial in late February, WTOV reported.
During that time, around 4:20 p.m., he managed to escape, state police said.
He’s described as a 6-foot white male weighing 170 pounds with dark hair and a mustache.
