U.S. Representative Aaron Schock, a Republican from Illinois, will resign from Congress after concerns arose about his use of taxpayer dollars, Politico reported on Tuesday.

Schock had been hounded with questions after The Washington Post wrote about lavish decorations in his Capitol Hill office. Concerns also arose about his spending for travel and other activities. Schock will resign as of March 31, Politico said, citing a statement from the lawmaker.
