
Mississippi State wide receiver De’Runnya Wilson was arrested late Friday night in Alabama the Covington County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to the Jackson (Miss.) Clarion-Ledger on Saturday morning.
Wilson along with four men were charged with possession of marijuana second degree and possession of drug paraphernalia, River Falls Police Chief Greg Jackson said.
Mississippi State did not immediately respond to messages asking to comment.
According to Jackson, the four men were all traveling on US 84 in River Falls. Jackson pulled the vehicle over at 9 p.m. for going 59 miles per hour in a 45 mile an hour speed zone in the rain. All four men admitted they couldn’t pass a drug test.
Jackson said he found marijuana in the car. The bonds of the four men totaled $2,500 each.
