UFC star Ronda Rousey has never been beaten inside the octagon, and her continued dominance has led many to speculate that she could even take on the men in her weight class (Rousey even said last week that she could theoretically beat anyone, male or female). Laila Ali, daughter of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali, isn’t convinced.
In a short interview posted by TMZ, Ali was asked about Rousey and after initially refusing to answer, Ali went on to say that no woman could ever beat her in the ring… even Rousey.
“That’s like a question I’m not even going to answer because, for one, I’m not a UFC fighter and she’s not a boxer, and no woman can beat me. Period.
Not even Ronda?
“Of course not, she’s too much smaller than me anyway. She’s like the size of my daughter, my 3-year-old.”
Once the video started going viral, Ali quickly clarified on Twitter that she’s not challenging Rousey. Ali compiled a perfect 24-0 record as a boxer, with 21 wins via knockout, but she hasn’t entered the ring since 2007.
