Shots were fired at a daytime promotional party for rappers T.I., Young Jeezy and Yo Gotti at a Charlotte club on Saturday.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg, N.C., police confirmed the shooting to USA TODAY.
“Two people injured with gunshot wounds. One person drove themself to the hospital and one person was transported by ambulance. Both are non-life-threatening injuries,” said Captain J.D. Thomas, watch commander for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, who could not yet specify who the victims were.
Entertainment blogger Selena Alexander, who was covering the event for the blog Elite Insiders, told USA TODAY via Twitter she was in attendance at the event and also confirmed that shots were fired inside the venue.
Her colleague, Kionne Johnson, says all three rappers were on stage when the alleged gunman, also onstage, pulled out a weapon.
