Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch wanted no part of Super Bowl media day, but now he is trying to profit from it.

Lynch recently applied to have his standard answer for every question at the event, “I’m just here so I don’t get fined,” trademarked, as reported by Mike Baker The Seattle Times.

This isn’t the first time Lynch has attempted to get something trademarked. He has done the same with “Beast Mode” and “About That Action Boss” to sell merchandise with those phrases on his website.

Perhaps Lynch’s disdain for the media has all been a ploy to further his off-field business ventures. Well played, Marshawn. Well played.
