The Apple Watch will offer an app to track glucose levels, it has been confirmed.
Medical products maker DexCom told the Wall Street Journal of its app, which will continuously monitor the wearer’s blood-sugar levels.
Glucose levels will be presented in the form of a graph on the device, in a bid to help diabetics manage their sugar intake.
A tiny sensor will monitor levels every five minutes from under the skin and is expected to be available as soon as the smartwatch launches in April, DexCom added.
Earlier this month, Apple reportedly asked a selection of app providers to have their Apple Watch apps ready by February 12.
