Purdue University, the second of three colleges in the country to have a co-branded online store with Amazon, now has the first staffed campus location from the e-tailer.

Amazon, which announced that it would offer a staffed location for the picking up and dropping off of packages, today made good on that promise with the opening of Amazon@Purdue, in the Krach Leadership Center at the school’s West Lafayette, Ind., campus. Textbooks and over one million other items purchased by Purdue students and faculty that are shipped to Amazon@Purdue are eligible for free one-day shipping.

A second location will open this spring in the Purdue Memorial Union building. Also this spring, Purdue students will be eligible for free one-day shipping on textbooks shipped to the West Lafayette campus area.
