Members of the Congressional Black Caucus Will Go to Church at Wellspring United Methodist Church in Ferguson on Sunday

Eleven members of the Congressional Black Caucus, including Rep. William Lacy Clay, D-St. Louis, will be in Ferguson this weekend on the eve of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.

Clay’s office said Thursday that the group will be there to “pursue change via the ballot box, federal legislation, the justice system and local law enforcement.”

They will be at the Wellspring United Methodist Church Sunday at 11 a.m on South Florissant Road in Ferguson. Congressional Black Caucus Chairman G.K. Butterfield, D-N.C., will lead the delegation.

Other expected attendees are Reps. James Clyburn, D-S.C., (assistant Democratic leader in the House); Karen Bass, D-Calif.; Joyce Beatty, D-Ohio; Andre Carson, D-Ind.; Emanuel Cleaver, D-Kansas City; Marcia Fudge, D-Ohio; Sheila Jackson-Lee, D-Texas; Donald Payne, D-N.J.; and Cedric Richmond: D-La.
