Gov. Mike Huckabee will be the keynote speaker at The Awakening 2015 on March 14 in Orlando, Florida. The theme for this year’s event is “Rebuilding the Wall.” The Awakening 2015 will blend spiritual, patriotic, and grassroots activism. Prior events have brought together more than 80 national leaders to speak at plenary or breakout sessions covering a wide variety of topics.

Until this month Gov. Huckabee was the host of the number one-rated weekend show HUCKABEE on the Fox News Channel. When he stepped down, Gov. Huckabee said, “As much as I have loved doing the show, I cannot bring myself to rule out another Presidential run.”

Gov. Huckabee has been a long-time ally of Israel, having visited Israel many times and has met a number of times with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Recently Gov. Huckabee hosted about 100 pastors on the “Reagan, Thatcher, Pope John Paull II” tour of Krakow, Poland, and London, England, before concluding the trip in Los Angeles, California. Among other sites, the group visited Auschwitz.

When Hillary Clinton said recently that America needs to understand our enemies, that we empathize with them, respect them and see things from their point of view, Huckabee shot back: “How can we empathize with terrorists who think nothing of beheading innocent men, women and children? America is a free nation today because previous leaders had the sense to understand that knowing your enemy meant understanding their weaknesses and exploiting them to win. It didn’t mean reaching out your hand to monsters who cut hands off.”

Gov. Huckabee was the 44th Governor of Arkansas and one of the longest-serving Governors in his state’s history. He left a legacy of tax cuts, job creation, the reconstruction of his state’s road system, K-16 education reform, and a nationally heralded and duplicated health initiative that focused on the less expensive approach of prevention rather than the costly big-government approach of intervention.

A New York Times Bestselling author of 12 books, his latest, God, Guns, Grits, and Gravy, delivers a realistic, yet optimistic, approach to moving America forward.
