Welcome to The Prophet Daniel’s Report. This is report #507. My name is Daniel Whyte III here to remind you that Jesus Christ is coming back soon and that you need to be prepared. This broadcast is not about predictions, nor is it about setting dates as some foolishly have done, however it is all about preparation.
First, today, let’s look at some Signs of His Coming in the news.
The disciples asked Jesus in Matthew 24:3, “What shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” Jesus Christ then went on to give them (and us) clear signs that show us when we can begin to expect to see the coming of the Lord and the end of the world. Those signs include:
1. the appearance of false Christs and false prophets
2. wars and rumors of wars
4. pestilences (fatal epidemic diseases)
5. earthquakes in divers (various) places
6. increased persecution of believers
7. the Gospel being preached in all the world
8. signs and great wonders in the heavens (involving the sun, moon, stars, and planetary movements)
9. distress and perplexity among people
10. increased violence “as in the days of Noah”
11. increased homosexuality and sexual immorality “as it was in the days of Lot”
12. the rise of “Gog and Magog” (which many Bible scholars believe refers to Russia)
13. the rise of the “kings of the east” (which many Bible scholars believe refers to China)
14. increase in knowledge (science and technology)
15. apostasy in the church
16. interest in a unified world government to bring about global peace
17. interest in the rebuilding of the Temple in Jerusalem
The Bible also speaks of other signs which will be evident in “perilous times” in Second Timothy 3. Those signs are people being:
23. disobedient to parents
26. without natural affection
28. false accusers
31. despisers of those that are good
35. lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God
36. having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof.
Other signs of the times which have been gleaned from Scripture include:
37. scoffers who mock of Christ’s return
38. movement toward a one-world religion
39. outpouring of the Holy Spirit
40. outbreak of demonic and occultic activity
41. re-establishment of Israel
42. Arab hostility toward Israel
43. re-unification of Europe
44. movement toward a one-world economy
Looking at world events through the lens of the Word of God, let’s look at some headlines from today’s news that point to the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
First, today, under the Sign category of WARS & RUMORS OF WARS — According to TIME Magazine, the Pentagon acknowledged on Monday that ISIS has been routinely lobbing rounds of mortars and rockets at U.S. troops training Iraqi forces at a base north of Baghdad. Although President Obama has declared there will be no U.S. combat boots on the ground inside Iraq, he has dispatched American soldiers to a base with at least a smattering of enemy forces around it. If ISIS gets lucky—and wounds or kills U.S. troops—the political pressure on Obama to escalate the war will be intense. There are just over 2,000 U.S. troops now in Iraq, and Obama has authorized the dispatch of 1,000 more.
Second, today, under the Sign category of WARS & RUMORS OF WARS — According to Reuters, Pakistan accused India of killing four civilians on the border of the two nuclear powers and India said one of its border guards was killed, heightening tensions before a visit by U.S. President Barack Obama. India said its forces had killed four Pakistanis planning an attack on Indian soil, although Indian media and opposition parties disputed the official account. The Pakistani army said four civilians had died in Indian shelling. A senior Indian official with the border security forces said they had retaliated for machine gun fire and mortar attacks on about 60 positions strung out along more than 125 miles of the border. As the hostilities intensified, India’s security agencies declared a nationwide alert to avoid militant strikes before visits by US Secretary of State John Kerry and President Obama later this month.
Third, today, under the Sign category of EARTHQUAKES IN DIVERS PLACES — According to UPI, a 6.4 magnitude earthquake and several aftershocks shook New Zealand’s South Island on Tuesday morning. The quakes are said to be the strongest since 2011, when a magnitude 6.3 quake killed 185 in the country’s second-largest city, Christchurch. Some of the area’s rail lines were closed and freight services suspended following the quake. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damages.
Fourth, today, under the Sign category of THE TURMOIL IN ISRAEL & THE MIDDLE EAST — According to The Times of Israel, the Israel Law Center filed lawsuits on Monday at the International Criminal Court (ICC) against three Palestinian Authority leaders for alleged war crimes, terrorism and human rights offenses, following Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’s move last week to join the court and seek to prosecute Israel. Indictments were brought against the PA’s Prime Minister, deputy minister, and intelligence chief. The legal organization is also pursuing existing litigation filed against Abbas last November, as well as a case against Gaza-based terror group Hamas and its leader filed at the ICC in September 2014.
Fifth, today, under the Sign category of THE TURMOIL IN ISRAEL & THE MIDDLE EAST — According to The Jerusalem Post, punishments appear to be in store for Iran and the Palestinian Authority this month, as Republicans take the reins of the U.S. Congress. Unlike a host of domestic initiatives that will divide the House and Senate, policy toward Iran and the Palestinian Authority will likely unify the legislature, requiring its immediate attention as negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program lurch toward a March deadline and Palestinian leaders begin action against Israel at the International Criminal Court. Discussions are now under way as to whether the PA has violated US appropriations law guaranteeing the flow of nearly $400 million in aid. Additionally, new leadership in the Senate banking and foreign relations committees are already drafting legislation that will trigger new sanctions should Iran be found in violation of a preliminary agreement, or should talks break down.
The Bible says in Luke 9:26: “For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father’s, and of the holy angels.”

Now, it’s time for Prophecy Bootcamp.
Prophecy Bootcamp is where we deal with the basics of prophecy, the Second Coming of Christ, and what will happen in the future according to the Bible. Our aim here is not to make predictions but to help you get prepared by understanding how things will unfold in the end times.
Our topic for today is titled “The Heavenly Intruder” from Dr. Ed Hindson’s book “Revelation: Unlocking the Future”.
Sunday morning came. It was the Lord’s Day — resurrection day. John knew the churches would be assembled. He also knew they would be praying for him. That’s when it happened! A booming voice broke the silence, announcing: “I am the Alpha and the Omega…who is and who was and who is to come.”
When John turned to see who was speaking to him, he saw the risen Christ in all of His divine glory and heavenly splendor. The Savior had not abandoned him. Indeed, He had come for His faithful disciple who had cared for His earthly mother. Now it was the Savior’s turn to care for John. And it was time to take him home to glory.
There are many unanswered questions about the book of Revelation. Did they find it beside John’s body? Did he live to be recalled from exile? How did the book pass from the seven churches of Asia to the other Christian communities? We may never know the answers to some of these questions. But several things are clear from this first chapter:
1. John was exiled on Patmos.
2. Christ appeared to him there.
3. The Revelation was given to John.
4. Then it was sent to the seven churches for each to read.
The Divine Intruder had come for His disciple. He had come with a vision of the future and a message of hope for His Church. It was a glorious morning for every true believer. Unlike the Old Testament prophecies that often remained sealed up, the Savior had come to reveal the future. And what an incredible future it would be!
Lord willing, we will continue looking at this topic on our next broadcast/podcast.
In closing, let’s consider what God wants you and me to do in light of His Second Coming.
Jesus Christ said in Luke 19:13 to “Occupy till I come.” In light of that, we are continuing our Bible study series on the books of First & Second Thessalonians which Paul wrote to believers who had concerns about the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, and what they should do as they waited. This section is titled “The Fate of the Earth (Part 6)” from the book “Waiting on the Second Coming” by Ray C. Stedman.
The Day of the Lord will also come suddenly, with terrible and destructive judgment. The Thessalonian Christians were thoroughly familiar with the stark and dramatic prophecies of Joel, Isaiah, and Zephaniah. Joel 2 says the Day of the Lord will be “a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and blackness… The sky trembles, the sun and the moon are darkened, and the stars no longer shine.” Isaiah 2:21 says, “They will flee from the splendor of his majesty, when he rises to shake the earth.” Zephaniah 1:15 calls it, “A day of wrath, a day of distress and anguish, a day of trouble and ruin, a day of darkness and gloom.”
All this is summed up in the words Jesus uttered on the Mount of Olives: “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.”
These are hard passages to preach from, hard passages to read, but they represent reality. The one thing we must do is to face exactly what God says is going to happen. Here is indeed the fate of the earth!
If the Lord tarries His coming and we live, we will continue looking at this topic in our next broadcast/podcast.
Remember the words of the Lord in Matthew 24:42: “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.” Matthew 24:44 says, “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”
If you are not ready for the return of Jesus Christ, may I encourage you to get ready today by receiving Him as your Savior. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Just believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead by the power of God for you so that you can live eternally with Him. Pray and ask Him to come into your heart today, and He will. Romans 10:13 says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Keep looking up for your redemption draweth nigh. Let us join in the prayer of John the Revelator — “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” God bless you.
