Today is National Eggnog Day, the holiday drink is a favorite for many people during the holidays.
The holiday drink is different depending where you are: coconut milk is an ingredient in Puerto Rico, but the drink is ‘on ice’ in Venezuela.
The beverage originated as a wintertime drink for British aristocracy, Frederick Douglass Opie, a food history professor at Babson College, wrote in his blog “Food as a Lens.”
On National Eggnog Day, you should go out and buy the holiday drink or try to make you own to celebrate Christmas.
