The St. Louis Rams certainly said enough on Sunday with their play, beating the Washington Redskins 24-0 in a game that saw the Rams defense amass seven sacks and two turnovers.
As much of a statement as that proved to be, ESPN’s Rams reporter Nick Wagoner noticed that head coach Jeff Fisher had sent a subtle yet perfect message to Washington before the game even kicked off.
In a game where Robert Griffin III, who the Redskins traded six picks to acquire with the second overall pick of the 2012 draft, sat on the bench until an injury to starting quarterback Colt McCoy forced him into action at the end of the game, St. Louis made a pregame show of the six players now contributing to their roster thanks to the deal.
