Spurred on by coverage from Ferguson, MO and, to a lesser extent, the midterm elections, CNN was the No. 2 cable news network in November. CNN showed the most growth of the cable news networks: up +34% in total day viewers and up +55% in the demo compared to November 2013.
The ratings for November 2014:
- Primetime (Mon-Sun): 653K Total Viewers / 263K A25-54
- Total Day (Mon-Sun): 449K Total Viewers / 155K A25-54
This is the fifth consecutive month that CNN finished ahead of MSNBC in total day vieweing. CNN also posted its highest primetime demo in more than 18 months and, after “The Kelly File” and “O’Reilly Factor” on Fox News, had the third-most watched show on cable news with “CNN Tonight.”
