A statewide manhunt was under way Monday for a man who went on a shooting spree that killed four people at three locations in a West Virginia county, authorities told NBC News.
Authorities warned the public to steer clear of the suspect, identified as Jody Lee Hunt, 39, who was described as armed and extremely dangerous.
Hunt, of Westover in Monongalia County, is described as a white male, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighing about 165 pounds and last seen wearing a white hat. He’s believed to be on the run in a late-model black Ford F-150 extended-cab pickup truck with a tonneau cover over the bed, West Virginia plates OLK 303 that have been blacked out and a sticker reading “Rough Country” in the back window, the county sheriff’s office said.
