This year in our quest to get you all of the big Black Friday deals first, your key to the best deals all comes down to timing. While many “Early Black Friday Sales” are nothing more than a marketing ploy, the sales on Thanksgiving are fantastic and offer the same deals as Black Friday in most cases without the crowds.
If you would like to shop in-store Black Friday but don’t want to line up or deal with the crowds, you may be able to visit a favorite store on Thursday without interfering with your Thanksgiving plans. If that proves impossible consider shopping online Black Friday.
It’s also worth noting that this year for the first time ever, Cyber Monday will be even bigger than Black Friday, offering better discounts on most purchases with the exception of TV, gaming bundles and appliances.
If you would like to see the opening of a store near you, one of my favorite deal sites, Offers.com, has assembled the most comprehensive list I’ve seen of store opening hours.
