Thanksgiving came early to thousands of people Tuesday evening as part of Central Market’s Feast of Sharing.
Roughly 8,900 people were served a free Thanksgiving dinner at Will Rogers Memorial Center, said spokeswoman Heather Senter, who deemed the event a “huge success.”
More than 1,100 volunteers helped make the dinner happen, Senter said.
Another Feast for Sharing, part of Central Market’s commitment to fighting hunger in Texas, is scheduled for Thursday at Fair Park in Dallas.
The event included a visit from Santa, family and community services, a kid’s zone and live entertainment.
