A woman has admitted to murdering her estranged wife, a seven-year veteran of the East Point Police Department.
Jury selection was scheduled to start Wednesday in the Danielle Alexis Parker murder trial. However, shortly before the trial was set to begin, Parker, 32, pleaded guilty to charges of murder, felony murder, firearm possession and aggravated assault. She was sentenced to life with the possibility of parole plus five years in prison.
Parker was accused of killing 34-year-old Crystal Parker in her College Park home on July 4, 2013. A friend found the police corporal’s body in her bed three days later. She had been shot once in the head at close range.
