Pastor Don Smith of Prospect Park Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee.
The body that was found Saturday morning in the 3400 block of Lichterman Street has been identified as 57-year-old Don Smith.
The Shelby County Medical Examiner’s office said the Smith died from a gunshot wound.
Police say two men walking their dogs found the body near a pond Saturday morning.
Smith was a Pastor at Prospect Park Baptist Church in Whitehaven.
His family tells WREG, they have no idea who would want to do this to the man but say he was a good Pastor and husband.
At this time, no arrest has been made.
