Tim Keller said, “Sometimes you don’t get the strength out of prayer that you want. But you won’t get any strength at all without prayer.”

Our prayer motivator passage from the Word of God today is Psalm 69:13 which reads: “But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O Lord, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.”

Our prayer motivator quote today is from Matthew Hagee. He said, “Effective prayer is exciting prayer. James 5:16 reads, ‘The effective fervent prayer of the righteousness avails much.’ The key here is that if there is effective prayer then there is efficient prayer. I believe that ineffective prayer is the number one reason why people don’t pray more. Have you ever heard someone say, ‘I tried praying, but it doesn’t work.’ The truth is that it does work. Prayer works every time when you do it properly. The Bible tells us in James 4:3, ‘You ask and don’t receive because you ask amiss.’ Praying effectively isn’t impossible; in fact, it is as simple as having a conversation with your best friend. But you need to know the Biblical basis for prayer before you effectively do it. When you pray ineffectively it leads to frustration and frustration leads to confusion, discouragement, and doubt. Once you have reached the point of doubt then your prayers are powerless.”

____________

Now, if you are listening today, and you do not know the Lord Jesus Christ as your Saviour, the first prayer you need to pray is what we call ‘the sinners prayer.’ John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Just believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead by the power of God for you so that you can live eternally with Him. Pray and ask Him to come into your heart today, and He will. Romans 10:13 says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Until next time,

Remember, friend, Pray, Think, Do! God Bless You!
