A 4-year-old boy who was found lying injured in the middle of a Tampa street late Sunday night died at a hospital early Monday morning.
Tampa police identified the boy early Monday as Marterrance Albury. A witness told police that Albury was thrown from a vehicle about 9:45 p.m. in the area of 109th and N Florida avenues.
The vehicle was described as possibly a green 2001 to 2004 Ford Expedition, which was headed south on N Florida Avenue. Police were reviewing red light cameras in the area to determine who might own the vehicle.
Albury was taken to a hospital in critical condition and died overnight. Police said early Monday that his family had been notified.
