The Evangelical Christian reality TV star tells crowd at this weekend’s music festival in Cullen, Ala., to ‘get your tail down and vote and let’s vote this ungodly bunch out of Washington.’
“Ducky Dynasty” patriarch Phil Robertson again took aim over the weekend at some of his favorite targets — homosexuals and Democrats.
The Evangelical Christian reality TV star preached to the choir at Alabama’s Rock the South music festival Saturday, eliciting cheers from the crowd.
“I’m actually a nice man. … I’m trying to help those poor souls and turn them to Jesus,” Robertson said Saturday, according to the Birmingham News.
The remarks were relatively tame by the standards of the 68-year-old Louisiana hunter-turned-showman, who got himself suspended briefly from A&E late last year over a controversial GQ interview construed as homophobic.
“It seems like, to me, a vagina — as a man — would be more desirable than a man’s anus; that’s just me,” Robertson, who is an Evangelical Christian, told the magazine in the now infamous interview. “I mean, come on, dudes! … It’s just not logical.”
