CHARLOTTE, N.C., June 18, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — “Innovation” will take center stage as the theme for the 2014 Business Opportunity Conference, presented by Carolinas-Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council Aug. 4-5 at the Hilton Columbia Center in Columbia, SC.

The two-day supplier diversity conference also will feature a golf tournament, awards banquet, business matchmaking sessions, a business opportunity tradeshow, and theatrical depiction titled “Reality That Drives Innovation Through Our Lenses.” Tuesday morning’s general session speaker will be business professor and author of “Winning With Customers,” D. Keith Pigues, who will present on the topic, “Creating a New Model for Supplier Diversity.”

The Aug. 4th BOC golf tournament will be played at Cobblestone Park, allowing corporate purchasing executives and minority business professionals to network and strengthen business connections. Afternoon sessions on Aug. 5th will provide additional insight on doing business with the government and discussing proven ‘Best Practices’ for corporate supplier diversity programs.
