U.S. network correspondents have headed to Iraq to cover the growing violence as the militant group ISIS advances on Baghdad.

“CBS Evening News” was the first network evening news broadcast with a reporter in the city. CBS’s Clarissa Ward has been in Baghdad since Friday, while Holly Williams is in northern Iraq.

Anderson Cooper tweeted Monday that he is now in Baghdad and will broadcast his CNN show from there. NBC News’ Richard Engel and ABC News’ Martha Raddatz are also in Baghdad, while NBC’s Ayman Mohyeldin is in Mosul and Kalak, and ABC’s Terry Moran is in Kirkuk.

Engel described eerily empty streets in Baghdad.
