The Christian rap community immediately began buzzing when word hit the streets that Reach Records CEO Lecrae will be dropping a new project this year.
Anomaly, the seventh studio album from the lyricist is due out this August he revealed on Twitter. As new details leak, Turnt Up can confirm, via Rapzilla, the worship leader Kari Jobe will be one of the features on the project.
Anomaly, arguably the perfect title, means something that deviates from what is standard, normal, or expected. And when it comes to the Christian rap community, the “I’m Turnt” rapper certainly doesn’t neatly fit inside a box.
“My name is Lecrae and I don’t fit in,” he said on Twitter and then said, “New music, Same movement. Continue to tell your #Anomaly story.”
Since that time, fans on social media have posted their stories as well.

Definitely can’t wait, hope this album will take Christian Hip Hop further on a mainstream stage, it’s already big globally, just flew care to tolerate it in the Hip Hop music market.
What’s amazing though is Kari Jobe being on there! After all those Commercial Rap colabs with Big K.R.I.T, B.o.B and Paul Wall, it’s about time the Gospel side of the spectrum is represented. This blends Hip Hop and CCM so well, hope it’s amazing track though can already say it should be based on the awesomeness of ‘Angels and Demons’ by Tedashii featuring Crowder.
