There is something missing in society today that has led to a downward moral trend. Dr. Alveda King believes it is the rules.
King, who is the niece of Martin Luther King, Jr., has written a book titled King Rules, which establishes the boundaries the family of the slain civil rights leader followed to overcome challenges and gain happiness in life. Dr. King tells OneNewsNow the family can be traced back seven generations in America.
“There were rules that we had, and one was certainly making home a priority,” she says. “That’s the first chapter. There is a saying, ‘Charity begins at home or love.’ It should. Some homes today are not as loving as we’d like for them to be, but I talk about how you make that home a loving and warm place to nurture.”
This happens with, first, yourself and your family. Then, it happens with communities and the world. Next, King explores serving God and then our families with biblical principles, getting a good education and caring for the poor.
