3-Year-Old Chinese Toddler Smokes Cigarette on Street as Adults Look On

A shocking video of a smoking Chinese child has caused a social media backlash

The tiny smoker is looked at by adults, many of whom laugh. No one stops the child from his pernicious habit.

China is the world’s largest consumer of tobacco, and this may be why.

Video has emerged of a young Chinese kid, around three-years-old, smoking a cigarette in the street.

As he does so, adults look on and laugh.

Several people in the street watch him but no one attempts to take the cigarette away from the youngster.

He is chastised at one point by a woman but she does not confiscate the cigarette.

Some 300 million people, around 30 per cent of the population, are thought to be smokers in China.
