He’s taken the stage with everyone from Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake to Katy Perry and Madonna.
But now Timbaland is in hot water for failing to perform.
According to TMZ, the 42-year-old is being sued for half a million dollars by a promoter for postponing, then canceling a series of concerts in Australia and New Zealand back in 2008.
In the lawsuit obtained by the website, the company Showtime claims they paid Timbaland $500K – half of his million dollar salary – for a series of shows Down Under scheduled for July 2008.
With just weeks before he was set to perform, Showtime was notified the Give It To Me singer had to postpone the shows one month until August.
But the promoters then found out that Timbaland – real name Timothy Zachery Mosley – had another set of concerts lined up in Finland for the exact same dates he had rescheduled the Australia shows.
