A Message from Convention President Julius R. Scruggs

Dear Pastors and Members of NBC, USA, Incorporated:

May God’s grace and mercy continue to energize your ministries daily.

Each of you is aware that this is election year. Let’s join together to pray continually that God will bless the election process and the election of our next President. I am appreciative to the Election Supervisory Commission for their diligent work in preparing the list of constituent voters. They have already indicated that if there are legitimate concerns, they stand ready to address them.

Please be mindful that the election process will cost the Convention extra money. Also, be mindful that we are in a lean season for receiving gifts to the convention. You do remember, I hope, that February through August is a long stretch as well as a lean financial stretch, therefore, we need financial contributions! In that light we beseech each pastor and state president to bring an extra offering for the convention’s operational expenses. If you cannot bring one, please send one, payable to the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc., 1700 Baptist World Center Drive, Nashville, Tennessee 37207.

I look forward to seeing and fellowshipping with you in June at the Congress of Christian Education convening in Dallas, Texas during the week of June 16-20, 2014.

Sincerely,

Julius R. Scruggs, President
National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc.

P.S. The Parent Body Board Meeting will be on Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at 2:00 p.m.
