“If you can add on automated lights and security systems, and be able to control them remotely,” Garfield says, “that’s a big plus that many residences across the country do want.”
The lights in your home could come on automatically when you come in the door, using the iPhone to wirelessly trigger the switch. I
“That could turn your iPhone and you iPad into, really a home automation system,” he says, “a remote control for your lights, your security systems and your other household appliances.”
