Christian singer Rebecca St. James has a reason to rejoice after California wildfires “miraculously” stopped just feet from her home in Los Angeles.
St. James and her family were told to evacuate Wednesday as the massive flames approached their neighborhood, inflicting destruction in their path.
According to a message posted to her Facebook page Wednesday night, the situation looked dire.
“We may have lost our house and everything we own to a fire today… I saw the 2 story flames a few hundred yards away,” St. James said. “Please pray for us. I got out with [my baby daughter], our dog and a baby book in the car when police were arriving ordering evacuation.”
But after asking fans for prayers and hoping for the best, the singer sent another update Thursday with incredible news.
The fire apparently stopped just feet away from the family’s property and home. While a tree was scorched and a water pipe burst, St. James’ said her house was unscathed.
“It’s a total miracle ’cause the wind changed right when the fires were about to take over our house,” she said. “You can see the proof when you look at where the fire stopped, 3 feet from our back fence. The fire was a 2-3 story wall of flame, only meters away from our home!”
