The Langston Hughes Community Library and Cultural Center in Corona, NY Celebrates 45th Anniversary

The 45th Anniversary Celebration of the Langston Hughes Community Library and Cultural Center (Corona, NY) featured appearances and presentations from Queens elected officials, Queens Library administrators, founding Library staff members and appearances by authors and various musical guests.

BulLion Entertainment, headed by Anre’ DaCosta, sponsored The Literary Arts presentation, which featured radio broadcaster Ken “Spider” Webb; performance artist and cultural activist Nana Camille Yarbrough; author(Corn Rows) and Beverly Willis;, poet and author (Barefoot Reflections) and Hip Hop/Spoken Word artist, The One Sun Lion Ra.(son of the late, great musician Lou Wilson of MANDRILL).

The Library, which is part of the Queens Library system, began in 1969 as a federally funded special project and is now a nationally recognized Library Center.
